Reiki (ray-key) is a technique used to tap into an unlimited and powerful healing
energy, "life force energy", that comes from the highest spiritual source. It is multi-dimensional and will heal the cause
of a problem on whatever level it may exist - body, mind, or spirit, as it has its own intelligence and knows exactly where
to go and what to do. Reiki is channeled from the universal source through the practitioner to the recipient. This method
is effective both hands on and through distant attunements.
Reiki has assisted in healing literally every known illness,
ailment, irritant, and injury from skin problems, cuts, broken bones, headaches, colds, insomnia, stress, depression, anxiety,
to serious disease like aids, cancer, and heart disease.

Reiki can also be used to relieve stress, to overcome unwanted habits, to achieve desired
goals, and to protect from harm. Reiki can maintain, improve and enhance the quality of life in any living being, human, animals
and plants.
As a Reiki Master I am willing to discuss with anyone interested how Reiki can assist you and/or a loved
one on a individual basis. I will not encourage anyone to eliminate or discontinue any traditional treatment they may be getting
but show you how Reiki can assist in conjunction with traditional treatment.

Reiki is believed to have begun in Tibet several thousand years ago. Seers in the Orient studied
energies and developed a system of sounds and symbols for universal healing energies. Various healing systems, which crossed
many different cultures, emerged from this single root system. Unfortunately, the original source itself was forgotten.
Dr.
Mikao Usui, a Japanese Christian educator in Kyoto, Japan, rediscovered the root system in the mid- to late 1800s. He began
an extensive 21 year study of the healing phenomena of history's greatest spiritual leaders. He also studied ancient sutras
(Buddhist teachings written in Sanskrit). He discovered ancient sounds and symbols that are linked directly to the human body
and nervous system which activate the universal life energy for healing.
Usui then underwent a metaphysical experience
and became empowered to use these sounds and symbols to heal. He called this form of healing Reiki and taught it throughout
Japan until his death around 1893.
The tradition was passed through several grandmasters of reiki such as Dr. Chujiro
Hyashi, Hawayo Takata, and Phyllis Lei Furumoto. There are many forms of reiki being practiced now. The principal ones are:
"Usui System of Natural Healing" and "Radiance Technique."
Reiki was introduced to the Western world in the mid-1970s.
Since then its use has spread dramatically worldwide.

Distance or Remote Healing
Unlike other healing therapies based on the premise of a human energy field, Reiki seeks to restore
order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced.
There is no time or space in the realm of the Divine, and
a healer is merely a conduit of the Divine Energy and can direct that energy through the Universe. The ability of the healer
to sense the energy field of the client and focus energy to the client is not limited by distance. Long distance healing is
a very effective way to create balance, health and wholeness.

What is a Reiki Master ?
In Reiki, master means teacher. Master also means that the student has come far enough along
in his or her development that troublesome lifestyle habits and limiting belief systems are taking less and less time and
energy away from living a fully conscious life.
A Master has taken the responsibility to become Master of himself or herself. It is not a designation used for ego inflation
or to manipulate others.
One does not have to base their life on spiritual practices to be a Reiki Master. Everyone has his or her own belief system
and is quite free to maintain it and still be considered a Reiki Master. The mastery is in dealing with oneself so that one
is able to stay in his or her own energy and not interfere with the path of another being.
